BOWS

ALPINE ARCHERY

ALPINE ARCHERY

Alpine’s new Velocitec Cam is a hybrid system employing two very different cams. Both have dual payout grooves, and the cables are not attached to the limbs. The upper Control Cam provides the smooth draw cycle, while the lower Power Cam gives the new 32-inch Silverado its quickness, rated at 325 fps.

The Velocity was the hot bow last year, and it’s still in the Archery Research line, but the AR-31 has returned for 2007. At only 31.5 inches long, with a forgiving brace height of 8.25 inches, this is the consummate tree stand or ground blind bow. The Ram Plus Cam delivers all the speed you need, at just over 300 fps.

A wild new riser design is setting BowTech’s Guardian and Commander apart from the field in 2007. The Center Pivot riser is forked, creating two points of contact with the limbs. The Guardian is just under 34 inches long and cranks out an IBO arrow at a speed in excess of 320 fps. The Commander is over 37 inches long and just a hair slower.
