Winchester Power Max Bonded

Winchester’s newest cartridge for white-tailed deer is the Power Max Bonded. Bonding welds the lead to the copper alloy jacket so that, during expansion, the core and jacket expand together for improved penetration and optimum weight retention.

The protected hollow point (PHP) promotes long-range accuracy and maximum expansion. The Power Max Bonded is available in .270 Winchester, .270 WSM, .30-30 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 WSM, .300 Win Mag and .308 Winchester.

On the "bench", I've got 1/4" groups at 50 yds out of my .30-06 with the 150 gr load. Theoretically if I am capable of doing my part this should produce 1/2" groups at 100yds. Looking forward to seeing the "on game performance"… from the reviews I've been able to find, these bullets are fantastic for deer size game. Hunters may also want to take a look at Fusion ammo as well… considering the bullet designs are quite similar. Buy a box or two of each and take a trip to the range to find out which one your rifle likes the best.
