gordon/stan, would like to comment on your september 21,2011 nebraska white tail hunt show where the guy who shot a buck with his muzzleloader at 340 yds. first of all this guy is an idiot and a moron! nobody has a business shooting a muzzleloader at game at that distance! i don't care how good of a shot you think you are! or how good a rest he had! he even admitted the shot was to far back! the ONLY reason he harvested that deer was because he was LUCKY and nothing else! even renoun pro hunter jim shockey doesn't shoot that far with his muzzleloader. if jim can't get within 200 yds of the game he passes up the game and/or trys to get closer. and this bozo is no jim shokey. you people who put these hunting shows on and believe it's ok to shoot game that far with a muzzleloader are a joke. a rifle yes. mz NO! shows like best of the west and long range pursuit those guys are idiots and morons shooting at big game also 600-1000yds. i don't care what type of rifle or optics you use that is totally unethical!

Kurt needs a girlfrend liten up…

I have the same tc triumph id love to what bullet and powder was shot to hit the 300+ deer. i was shocked to see that happen pro shootin!!

I've hunted all my life but I think hunting shows turn a lot of people off to hunting. The average person does not have the time, money or equipment, not to mention the access to the hunting areas you people hunt. I would compare huntng shows to wrestling on tv, just entertainment of a very low caliber.

Some more uplifting news and comment. I have a great storey to tell about my buck kill in Iowa on Saturday 10/22/2011. It has 20 points, including 4 drop tines. It appears that this dear had another drop tine that was broken off with still some sign of velvit on this spot. Im new to north american whitet tail online, but watch the show all the time. If you are interested in my story Id love to share it with you. Im registered as NONTYPICAL for my user name.

Mr Potts thank you for showing the "piebald" buck on the show, however, what you saw was not a "piebald". A piebald is an animal with black and white coloration, not brown and white. The name used to refer to this type of coloration is called a "skewbald".

    Hi Stan and Gordon,
I was just wondering if we were gonna be notified as to who won the Utimate Muzzy Moment? Are we able to attend the ATA show in Columbus OH? Please let me know. Thanks.

  • Jerry Fossati

Stan, while watching your show recently i saw a segment of a youngster bowshooting a doe in New Jersey i think. While it is great to get kids into hunting wouldn't it be a good idea to put a proper fall restaint on him? The single strap he was wearing would cause massive injuries Lets teach them proper safety from the start and it will become second nature. Thank You for your time

  • Sam

If you all don't join the N.R.A. in a couple years we won't have guns to hunt with any way !!!!!!!!

Very disappointin seeing Stan Potts shot that huge velvet buck over a pile of corn..If he is going to do it, at least tell the viewers he is hunting over a pile of corn..Not once did he mention that he was hunting over bait. Makes the harvest much less impressive to me now that i saw on TV how it was taken.

    Stan and Gordon,

I used to be a fan of the show until I saw this week's episode were Gordon shoots the buck in the foodplot. He made the shot with his bow and then followed the blood trail to a deer that was already mounted. Your producers tell me one of two things: they think that your viewing audience is ignorant or they are just plain ignorant themselves. It's even more alarming that Gordon would go along with the taping of that segment. Thanks guys.

It didn’t take long for me to figure out that even though he’s a very skilled hunter, his family is more important to him than any deer he might kill.-Missed Fortune
