Winchester Dual Bond Shotgun And Big Bore Handgun Ammunition

by Gary Lewis   |  September 22nd, 2010 0

“There is nothing else on the market quite like it,” said Jason Gilbertson, Winchester’s Manager of Marketing Communications. “It really is a bullet within a bullet, with two layers of petals. So instead of 6 petals folding back on expansion, you get 12 petals.”

Through the bonding process, the lead is fused to the jacket. At expansion, the bullet opens into 12 segments and maintains close to 100 percent of its weight. The Dual Bond is loaded as a slug (12 gauge and 20 gauge) and as a big bore handgun load, available in .454 Casull, .460 S&W Magnum and .500 S&W Magnum.
