Tyler Anthony, Texas
 It was the second day of 2008 and 10-year-old Tyler Anthony of Powderly, Texas, was hunting in Lamar County with his dad. Suddenly this beautiful 9-point buck appeared on the far edge of a field.
Tyler made a great shot at 202 yards with a New England Handi-Rifle chambered in 7mm-08. Tyler's trophy sported a 19-inch spread.
"I have always looked for a "Deer of the Day" or "Hall of Fame" buck from our area of the country (northeast Texas) but I've never seen one because our area produces few real trophies," says Tyler's proud dad Jay. "I believe that my son's beautiful buck could qualify for a possible first. A great buck and a great shot!"
