Trophy Photos From Our Readers -- February 2007
Alex Cox, Wisconsin
It was Nov. 1, 2003, and then 12-year-old Alex Cox Of Keshena, Wisconsin, had just gotten his hunting license. Alex was hunting in a ground blind when this monster suddenly appeared, trotting toward his position.
When the big buck got within 45 yards, it stopped and put its nose in the air. Apparently it was trying to catch the scent of a doe.
As the buck turned broadside, Alex wasted little time in dropping him with one shot from his 20-gauge shotgun. The big 10-pointer scored 150 4/8 B&C points and had a 24-inch inside spread.
