On Nov. 3, 2006, Karl Stoneking of Kokomo, Indiana, was hunting on some private ground in Carroll County. At 3:55 p.m., he glanced over his shoulder and saw this fine 8-pointer chasing a doe with two yearlings in an open field at about 100 yards away.
"The doe led him right by my stand for almost a straight-down shot with my new Fred Bear bow," Karl said. "He ran about 60 yards before piling up. He's my largest bow kill to date and my third largest buck ever!"
