Nick Meyer, Ohio
Nick Meyer, 14, of Cincinnati, Ohio was hunting with his grandfather James Meyer during Ohio's youth season on Nov. 19, 2005 when he encountered this Ohio heavyweight.
Nick used an H&R 20-gauge single shot to down the 250-pound brute. The buck probably had been a main-framed 5x5, but its left main beam was broken off at the G-3.
The right main beam measured an impressive 29 inches and the trophy whitetail sported a 22-inch inside spread -- still a great buck in anybody's book!
