Heath Herje, a 24-year-old whitetail hunter from Duncan, Oklahoma downed this impressive 6x8 non-typical on Nov. 20, 2004.
The unique whitetail sported a 12-inch drop tine and field dressed at 210 pounds. Heath lured the bruiser out of a large CRP field using a doe bleat and a decoy. He was hunting on the family ranch in Tillman County, and he had gotten four trail camera photos of the buck earlier in the season. Heath used a Remington Model 700 .270 to make the 265-yard shot.
