Jim Bailey, New Jersey
 Jim Bailey of Galloway Township, New Jersey traveled all the way to Kalispell, Montana last November in search of a big antlered whitetail. It was Friday, Nov. 13, the first day of a 7-day rifle hunt.
Jim had been hunting up near the top of a ridge when this buck suddenly came over the ridgetop chasing a couple of does. As the big buck crossed an opening, Jim got his Ruger 7mm. Magnum ready for action.
When the cross hairs were squarely on the buck's shoulder, Jim squeezed the trigger. The 226-pound 8-pointer dropped in his tracks. Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky?
