Jared Ziemke likes to hunt with his dad and two brothers. On Nov. 12, 2005, the group was hunting on the family farm just north of Janesville, Minnesota. Just before daylight arrived Jared saw the outline of a deer going across a clearing.
He also thought he saw antlers, but the deer sneaked into the woods and disappeared. Then, shortly after first light, the deer reappeared and Jared immediately knew it was a shooter. Jared wasted little time anchoring the big 10-pointer with his Remington 12-gauge shotgun. The buck scored 151 3/8 typical points and was believed to be only 3 1/2 years old.
