On Dec. 5, 2006, the third day of Iowa’s first shotgun season, Bryan Hartman of Sussex County, New Jersey, met up with this 171-inch, 206-pound (field dressed) giant in southeast Iowa.
Bryan encountered the huge 10-pointer at 7:10 a.m. as it courted a doe. Using a Mossberg 895 12-gauge, he made a 30-yard shot on the trophy of a lifetime.
