Danny Hale of Maunie, Illinois, was hunting in White County on Nov. 17, 2006, opening day of the first Illinois firearms season, when he crossed paths with this drop-tined brute at 7:45 a.m.
One shot from his Remington Model 1100 12-gauge brought the unusual 15-point trophy down. In addition to its two drop tines the buck also had a third main beam on the left side.
