Chris Shee of Jacksonville, Florida, shot this old timer on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, while hunting on club property in northeast Florida.
"Our hunting club is one of the oldest in northeast Florida," Chris says. "According to a few of the members who were part of the original group, this is the largest buck ever taken on our land. He had 8 points and was aged at between 6 and 7 years old. He weighed 180 pounds and had a 15 1/2 inch inside spread. What makes this deer so special for a Florida deer is the overall mass of the antlers. As you can see, they are thick all the way to the end with 5-inch bases. His rough score was about 110 inches."
