Marcy Helt of Marquette, Michigan, was bowhunting in Tilden Township near her home early on Nov. 4, 2008, Election Day morning. She spotted this young 8-pointer at around 8 a.m., but the deer would not come close enough for a shot. Forty-five minutes later, the same buck came by chasing a doe.
After waiting a while for just the right shot opportunity as the deer fed in front of her, Marcy drew back her Parker Sidekick XP and released an arrow. The hit was good. Her first bow buck ever ran only 40 yards before going down!
