Larry Foley of Vinton, Ohio, shot this outstanding 10-pointer on his farm in Wilkesville on Dec. 12, 2006, during gun season. Larry had passed up several smaller bucks during the first part of gun season and he was beginning to think that he might get skunked.

Then, out of nowhere, this big boy suddenly appeared. "I had even just finished coughing pretty loud when I heard some noise behind me," Larry said.

"Once I saw the rack he was carrying I knew I had not wasted my time searching for a true monster buck. After waiting a few moments, he presented me with a nice, clean shot. He was so big and heavy that I had to get my son to help me drag him out. I can't wait till next year!"
