Colin Stenberg, Wisconsin
On Nov. 3, 2007, Colin Stenberg arrowed this Wisconsin brute while bowhunting on public land in Trempealeau County. Around 10 a.m., Colin heard leaves crunching.
He turned and saw the biggest buck he’d ever seen in the woods, passing just out of bow range. Undaunted, he grabbed his grunt tube and gave a couple of quick grunts.
The buck immediately changed direction and made a beeline for Colin’s stand. Colin let the buck pass and shot him at 20 yards as he was quartering away. The big buck scored 156 inches!
