On Nov. 6, 2008, Brett Nebel of Staten Island, New York, shot this beautiful 10-pointer while hunting with his brother and a good friend in Ontario, Canada. Brett's buck dressed out at 185 pounds and gross-scored 145 inches.
"It was 4 p.m. on a sunny day of about 65 degrees when I took the shot from 80 yards," Brett said. "The buck was heading toward his scrape through heavy hardwoods. He never broke the thick cover. I shot him with a Marlin 35, 200-grain bullet. The buck went about 10 yards and dropped. The bullet pierced the heart and both lungs. We were not hunting with a guide or over food plots. Our efforts in scouting is what paid off. That is what makes this buck mean so much more to me!"
