Taylor McCann of Covington, Georgia has a lot to smile about. On Sept. 20, 2004, Taylor was bowhunting on a horse farm in DeKalb County, Georgia (a metro county where no gun hunting is permitted) when he met up with this "Mr. Big" at 30 yards.
This time, Taylor knew exactly what to do.You see, he had missed the same buck at 9 yards the very year before from the same tree. Actually he had just arrowed another nice, although smaller, buck that year (2003) and when he began to lower his bow to the ground, Mr. Big showed up. (Georgia has a two-buck limit).
"He must have been at least 160 or better that year," Taylor said.
Taylor made his shot count the second time around in 2004 and the buck had grown considerably. He scored 174 7/8 non-typical points and currenty ranks No. 5 all-time in the state in the archery non-typical category!
