 After finally drawing an Iowa bow tag, Todd Maziarz went to his hunting property on Oct. 22, 2006, to clear his shooting lanes and prepare his stands for a planned rut hunt in mid-November.
Once this task was completed, Todd decided to grab his Lone Wolf climber and go somewhere else on the property to hunt that afternoon. Todd walked to the other side of the property and came upon a well-used runway. After locating a suitable tree,
he climbed up and started hunting.
"By luck I had a hot doe come by with three small bucks following close behind," Todd said. "Then, about 20 minutes later, this 159-inch 8-pointer came by. He has 12-inch G-2’s and a 20-inch spread. He was my first P&Y buck to date!
