Ray Ortlund Jr. of Frankiln, Tennessee was gun hunting in Burke County, Georgia on Oct. 28, 2005 when a young 10-pointer walked into a clearing near his stand. As Ray was watching the 10-pointer, the deer suddenly looked back, and out stepped a much more mature 8-pointer. Ray wasted little time in making a well-placed shot on the second buck with his Remington Model 700. Ray's Peach State trophy weighed-in at 177 pounds.
