David "Davy Crockett" Wantz, Maryland
 In November 2004, then-11-year-old David “Davy Crockett” Wantz of Emmitsburg, Maryland, had just passed the Hunter Safety Course and he was raring to go deer hunting.
On Nov. 13, while participating in Maryland’s “Youth Hunt Day,” David ended up downing this fine 7-pointer with one shot from his trusty .243.
