Virgil Peck, a local youth pastor and track coach in Moravia, Iowa, shot this 10-point buck on Dec. 5, 2006, during a morning hunt in record low temperatures.

Virgil was hunting with his father-in-law, Mike Bruxvoort, along with several hunting buddies when this 156-inch trophy came trotting by. He downed the deer with a 20-gauge Remington 870 shotgun at 20 yards.

Since it was his first trophy buck ever, after having it mounted Virgil's 3-year-old son Trenton proudly let everyone know that "My Dad is the man!"
