Trophy Photos From Our Readers -- October 2007
Jeff Greene, Pennsylvania
Jeff Greene of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, was bowhunting in Allegheny County when this main-framed 4x4 came by his stand on opening day of bow season. The deer came over the hill from a swamp behind Jeff's stand. It was the fifth deer he had spotted that afternoon and the only buck. Jeff made a 22-yard heart shot on his awesome trophy.
"Being and avid reader of North American Whitetail, I always imagined shooting a buck of this caliber," Jeff said. "I was truly blessed with this animal and will never forget the moment I drove into my driveway with this magnificent animal in my truck. My wife and my neighbors were all there to make it a great and memorable moment!"
Jeff's buck green-scored 140 P&Y points. The big Pennsylvania brute dressed out at 223 pounds. This was Jeff's first Pope and Young buck!
