On Sept. 16, 2007, Sergeant First Class Robert Hill was bowhunting in Hardin County, Kentucky. "Late that afternoon I was watching 3 does," Robert said.
"Suddenly 2 nice bucks came out of a nearby field into the oak bottoms where I was hunting. I was about to take a shot at a nice 8-pointer when this big 10-pointer appeared. So I shot him instead. He weighed 212 pounds and he had an inside spread of 21 4/8 inches. My taxidermist green-scored him at 146 3/8 inches. I'm extremely happy to have this buck. I shot him using my Mathews Switchback XT at 47 yards!
