Last November 30th, Sgt. Eric Linke shot this big 8-pointer with a Model 870 Remington 12-gauge while hunting in Ontario County, New York. Eric was hunting from a tree stand when he saw the buck appear at about 150 yards away.
The buck continued coming Eric's way and Eric ended up making a 30-yard shot. Stationed in Bagram, Afghanistan, at the time, Eric was on leave from serving as helicopter crew chief for a Chinook (CH-47). "The jerky from my buck made countless soldiers very happy!" Eric said.
