On Nov. 14, 2006, Dallas “Big Dee” Stillwell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, traveled to Williams County, Ohio, to bow hunt with his son Thomas during the rut. When this outstanding 8-pointer showed up, Big Dee made a perfect 10-yard shot from his tree stand.

The buck went down within 50 yards. “I’m a retired Marine and during my almost 20 years of active military duty I was not able to hunt much with my dad,” Thomas said. Now that I am retired from the Marine Corps, we’re trying to make up for lost time hunting in the woods together.”
