When you think of bowhunting for big bucks do you think of bowhunting Maryland?
Perhaps you should. North American Whitetail's Gordon Whittington is is bowhunting Maryland during late October and showcases just how good things can be in the East.
With the October lull just starting to lift, Gordon uses aggressive rattling and calling paired with a decoy in a high-traffic area to pull a mature buck into bow range.
Maryland may not be at the top of most of most serious bowhunters' lists but Gordon's hunt shows that anywhere deer are allowed to reach maturity, have adequate nutrition and habitat can produce outstanding bowhunting action.
