On Target: Using a Rifle Sling to Shoot Better

Using a rifle sling can make you a better shot. North American Whitetail's Gordon Whittington shares some of his tips to help you improve accuracy with your firearm with the aid of a sling.

Most hunters are already using a rifle sling to tote firearm to the woods during a hunt whether is's a rifle, muzzloader or shotgun and there's no question they're a handy tool for doing just that. A sling can also be a tremendous aid when taking the shot as well. In this On Target segment, Gordon demonstrates demonstrates how to use a rifle sling to improve your accuracy.

The sling allows for an additional point of contact when shouldering your firearm, this steadiness leads to increased accuracy. Check out the video to see different methods for adding accuracy enhancing stability from the sling you likely already carry afield.
