Deer in School Sends Students Scampering

Think back to the time an animal was found wandering around the halls of your school. Maybe it was a stray dog or cat, or maybe some mouse or bird had found its way indoors.

As wild and crazy as you probably thought that was, it doesn't compare to what happened to students Wednesday at East Meck High School in Charlotte, N.C. According to WCNC-TV, a whitetail crashed through one of the school's windows at about 2 p.m., sending students clamoring out of a classroom as the deer scampered through the hallways and out of the building. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
