Eddie Stackhouse, Oklahoma

Many bucks "shrink" when you walk up to them at the end of a successful hunting encounter. This one "grew" — a lot! At the time Eddie Stackhouse of Macomb, Oklahoma, released his arrow on Nov. 18, 1996, he had no idea this buck's antlers were as big as they turned out to be. Happily, the result of Eddie's 20-yard shot was an 80-yard blood trail that led him straight to the beautiful non-typical. Eddie had been hunting the location for two years but hadn't seen this Sooner State trophy before the animal walked into bow range.
