Mack Moore, Alabama

With an extremely late rut and a gun season that runs through January, Alabama is a favorite of many deer hunters wanting to end their season on a high note. Mack Moore of Raleigh, North Carolina, did just that, taking this fine 9-pointer on Jan. 16, 1999. The deer has an inside spread of 15 inches and main beams of 20 4/8 and 21 inches. Mack was hunting with his father and brother-in-law near the town of Pine Apple, on property owned by Stone Cattle & Hunting.
