In the course of his pre-season scouting in Noxubee County, Mississippi, 14-year-old Charlie Threadgill of Tupelo found a spot where several good deer trails converged. The day before Thanksgiving Charlie was there, sitting in his climbing stand, when this hefty 10-pointer walked out. The hunter's


.308 dropped the deer, which had a body weight of 225 pounds and a rack score of 139 6/8 B&C points.
