Dr. James Kroll is a very influential voice in the new era of sound herd and habitat management. He is a regular contributor to the North American Whitetail magazine and that magazine's TV show, which also airs on Sportsman Channel. Dr. Kroll has written many books and has conducted some of the most groundbreaking research studies in the deer world. In addition to his public works, he is also a professor of forest wildlife and director of the Institute for White-tailed Deer Management and Research at Stephen F. Austin University, which he founded in the 1970s.
Co-hosting Winchester Dr. Deer will be Gordon Whittington , editor in chief, of North American Whitetail magazine and co-host of North American Whitetail TV. With 50 years of deer-hunting experience under his belt, and nearly three decades in the whitetail industry, Gordon is widely recognized as one of the leading authorities on trophy whitetails. He has authored or edited multiple books on the topic and continues to be a popular writer and seminar speaker on North America's most popular big-game species. Like Dr. Kroll, Gordon has traveled widely in his passionate search for deer and deer information, having hunted one species or another in 35 states and provinces from Canada to Mexico to New Zealand.
