With Cellular Cameras, It's Christmas Every Day

Like most children, I had a hard time falling asleep on Christmas Eve. The anticipation over what I’d find under the tree in the morning was almost more than I could bear, and inevitably, at the ungodly hour of 5 a.m., I’d be bouncing on my older sister’s bed, anxiously asking, “Did Santa come? Did Santa come?”

Needless to say, my exuberance for the morning was not shared by said sister, who would admonish me strongly and send me back to bed for at least another hour.

Although an awful lot has changed over the past 45 years, I still get awfully excited and more than a little impatient when it comes to getting presents. And I’ve been known, even as adults, to call my big sis well before the crack of dawn on Christmas morning just to hear her half unconscious hello and shout, “Did Santa come? Other days, all you see are a couple raccoons, a skunk or an opossum waddling around in front of your feeder. I’d say these are the Christmas equivalents of socks and underwear. Yuck!
