Hunting near Black Diamond, Alberta the morning of November 6, 2011, I was sitting in my blind with my dad when a bunch of does crossed into the field we were hunting in. It took about an hour for approximately 15 does to come within shooting distance. I'm a meat hunter so I was lining up on a doe when the buck walked out from behind a hill. At 150 yards I shot my buck, filling my general tag. Half an hour later a doe came from behind the blind, approximately 75 yards, so I shot her too, filling my supplemental tag. My first buck, and a great opening to this year's hunting season! -- Tyawna Edmonds, 17-years- old, Cayley Alberta
Editor's Note: Congrats Tyawna on a fantastic deer!
