Deer of the Day - Iowa Big Boy, Ryan Lewis

Deer of the Day - Iowa Big Boy, Ryan Lewis

Hunting in south central Iowa, Ryan Lewis was able to stay cool under pressure when he spotted this big boy -- amongst three yearling bucks -- eating acorns behind a cedar tree around 8 a.m.

After a 45 minute wait, another buck came into the area, pushing the 16-point brute clear of the cedar allowing Ryan to draw his PSE Nova bow and from 36 yards send a Gold Tip XT Hunter arrow tipped with a NAP Thunderhead 125 broadhead right into the boiler room.

The buck scored 183 5/8 net non typical. Nice work Ryan!
