Bob Sacher, Illinois

In southwest Illinois, the peak of the rut generally coincides with bow season, and New Jersey resident Bob Sacher is glad of it. On Nov. 14, 1994, Bob (left) arrowed this stocky 12-pointer, which nets 163 P&Y and had a dressed weight of 205 pounds. The buck wandered too close to Bob's tree stand while chasing does and paid the price for his lack of caution.
