Russell Gullickson, Minnesota

He had to wait until the age of 79 to do it, but Russell Gullickson of Fertile, Minnesota, finally got his buck of a lifetime on Nov. 14, 1998. Russell had been on stand just 30 minutes when the 152 5/8-inch buck (which field-dressed a whopping 245 pounds) came out to check some does. The kill occurred only a quarter-mile from the hunter's home. Steve Gullickson submitted the photo.
