Greg Stiens, Indiana

When Greg Stiens of Cincinnati, Ohio, spotted two does on his brother-in-law's Indiana farm on the morning of Nov. 17, 1997, he said to himself, "It would be real nice to see a buck following them." Suddenly, the hunter heard something walking in the woods, and he looked up to see that his wish had been granted. Greg grunted three times at the Ohio County 11-pointer to stop him, then gave one long, slow grunt that brought him straight in. One slug, fired at a range of 18 yards, did the job.
