Lyman Mustang Breakaway 209 Magnum

Lyman Mustang Breakaway 209 Magnum

Lyman's offering to the modern muzzleloader hunter is a .50-caliber break-action with the traditional lines of a big game express rifle. The barrel is 26 inches long with a 1-in-28-inch twist designed for conicals and sabots motivated by 209 primers and 150 grains of blackpowder or BP substitute.

Like a classic shotgun, the safety is mounted on the tang, perfect for left- and right-handed shooters. Up top, the barrel is fitted with fiber optic sights and is drilled and tapped for Weaver-style bases. The hammerless design allows lower scope mounting. A magnetized primer retention system holds the primer in place and allows for quick, positive removal. A Pachmayr Decelerator pad keeps recoil under control.

Suggested Retail: $499.95. Call 800-225-96626, or visit www.lymanproducts.com.
