Mother Nature Punches Tag On Ohio Buck

Mother Nature Punches Tag On Ohio Buck

The coroner's report on this buck would be "death-by-fifty-foot-tree-limb"

Having made it through hunting season, this fine nine-point Ohio buck wasn't anticipating having to deal with Mother Nature filling a tag.
Ty Beal discovered the deer on a mushroom hunt and it appears "death-by-50-foot-wild-cherry-tree-limb" is responsible for the deer's demise.
Beal had "dead deer hunted" the exact area a couple days after season's end and didn't see the deer then, so he was very surprised walking up on it.
A look at the buck's neck showed broken vertebrae, confirming the cause of death.
Beal reports the buck was probably seeking shelter during a late-season ice storm that blew through the area.
