A look at Kurt Kinion's 220-Inch Missouri Trophy Buck
With the Missouri rifle opener commencing during the peak of the rut (November 12), Show-Me-State hunters get a crack at love sick bucks that normally wouldn't show themselves a few weeks later.
That was the case with Kurt Kinion, who was hopeful that two great deer that he'd spotted on his trail cameras would show up when he was hunting on opening day on his family farm in central Missouri.
While in his stand, Kinion spotted movement and saw a massive buck arrive on the scene€¦one he'd never seen before.
"He busted through the brush, crossed the creek and charged out into the wheat field and across the food plot," shared Kinion, "I was completely amazed as this wasn't one of the (bucks) in my trail camera pictures! I was able to harvest this magnificent buck at sixty yards with a couple shots from my .300 Weatherby Mag."
The buck green grossed an amazing 220 inches, was 22.75 inches wide on the inside, and featured either 22 or 23 scorable points.
"This is a buck of a lifetime! I am so fortunate to have the chance to harvest such a buck!" said an elated Kinion.
Congrats on a great deer Kurt!
