Illinois bowhunter Jeff Schoeps knew this buck was in the area he hunted from the many trail cam photos he had of the deer from his summer scouting, so you can imagine his elation when he spotted the buck on November 11th around 7:15 a.m.
"The deer gave me a seven-yard shot and only went 60 yards after the hit," shared Schoeps, "I couldn't believe my eyes when I watched him hit the ground€¦it seemed unreal but was so true."
"My Hoyt Carbon Element worked great as did the Rage 2 Blade along with the Easton arrow fletched with Blazer vanes in pink to support the women in my life who have had breast cancer."
The buck green grossed 172 inches.
