Bowhunter TV’s Danny Farris is out chasing Aoudad with his bow down in Texas. On this hunt, he puts his Browning OVIX camouflage to use in the rocky, desert terrain. In the cool mornings, Farris layered up with Merino wool base layers, wearing them underneath the Early Season Pant and an ultralight Packable Puffer Jacket in OVIX. As the day warmed up, he removed his base layers and jacket and continued to hunt comfortably in just the Early Season Pant and Packable Puffer Hooded Vest.
The OVIX camo pattern has brown, gray and green hues to help break up the human outline at any distance. With these colors, it helps to create shading and indistinguishable shape for the eyes of your quarry. Because of the high contrast, it’s perfect for the bowhunter due to the utilization of high contrast that breaks up forms when having close encounters.
