Nelson Tucker, North Carolina

Being in the woods all but five days of North Carolina's 1993 rifle season paid off for Nelson Tucker of Polkton. He shot the 20-inch 10-pointer at right on Dec. 13 after having seen him the year before. The buck weighed 220 pounds. Nelson then got the other deer, a 200-pound, 20-inch 10-pointer, on Dec. 24.
