Chad Barrett, Kentucky

Western Kentucky's Chad Barrett is serious about the pursuit of big deer, and he's shot his share — including two Pope & Young bucks in Illinois and a Boone & Crockett in his home state. But this buck, which he shot on opening day of the 2002 gun season, in Ballard County, Kentucky, "dwarfs those three deer," according to Chad's wife, Patricia. The 180-pound trophy has 6-inch bases, a 19-inch inside spread and a gross B&C score of 171, making him one of the most impressive basic 8-pointers taken in Kentucky.
