New Hunting Clothing and Apparel for 2013

New Hunting Clothing and Apparel for 2013

Whether you're protecting your feet from the cold, harsh elements of Mother Nature or trying to stay scent-free from 30 feet off the ground, every deer hunter knows the value of having the best clothing and apparel available. As new technologies make their way into our gear, it generally means we're drier, warmer and more successful in the field.

Because we know how important your gear is, we at North American Whitetail have compiled the best new hunting clothing and apparel from the 2013 Archery Trade Association (ATA) Show in Louisville, Ky.

SpiderWeb Bibs

Robinson Outdoor Products has combined its popular ScentBlocker activated carbon clothing with its innovative Tree Spider safety harness system to create the SpiderWeb — a pair of bibs with a safety harness built right in.

Slip into a pair of SpiderWebs and you've already answered the call of safety with no extra straps, buckles, noise or weight. There are two models available for 2013 — the full season Outfitter with new synthetic Trinity Technology to adsorb human odor like never before, or the lightweight Recon style in ripstop fabric and S3 scent control.

Three sizes of removable bungee tethers are available to fit the needs of everybody. SpiderWeb is available in Realtree Xtra or Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo in sizes S-XXL, with a 300-pound weight capacity.

Predator Camo

Looking for a more athletic profile with higher tech fabrics and design? You might be in luck as Predator Camo introduces its High Plains jacket and pant combination in 3D and Brown Deception Open Pattern Technology.

This midweight shell fabric is sure to keep the warmth in without creating the bulk that prevents you from comfortably drawing your bow. The jacket includes stealth pockets, a removeable hood, wrist closures and waterproof zippers. On the pants are a no-slip waistband, articulated knees, reinforced belt loops and more waterproof zippers.

Rocky Boots

If there's one thing about kids, it's that they often want to be just like their dad. Now, when it comes to the boots they wear in the woods, that can be exactly the case.

Some popular models of Rocky boots are now being offered in kids' sizes — like the Hunter, BlizzardStalker and Long Range. You'll be sure to find the pair for the type of hunting you prefer and the area of the country you call home.

MSRP: $59.99

LaCrosse Aerohead

Be on the lookout for the Aerohead hunting boot from LaCrosse Footwear when the spring of 2013 rolls around. With the innovative AeroForm technology in its corner, the Aerohead is expected to be a boot that compares to nothing that has preceded it.

In addition to AeroForm, boot enthusiasts will find LaCrosse's Ankle Fit technology that ensures a secure fit on your foot, a shank at the arch of the foot for ultimate support while climbing in and out of treestands, and an adjustable back gusset for a personalized fit. Available in both Mossy Oak and Realtree patterns, and in sizes 5-15 for men.

MSRP: $129.95

Sitka Stormfront Jacket and Pants

Wet, nasty weather can ruin a hunt. And the last thing you want to do on an outfitted hunt that you paid good money for is to be sitting in the lodge instead of the treestand.

Enter the redesigned Stormfront Jacket and Pants from Sitka Gear to take care of that problem before it even starts. Sporting a rugged, three-layer shell with Gore-Tex laminate, both the jacket and pants will be offered in Gore Optifade camo in sizes M-XXL. The jacket has a fold-away hood and is suitable to wear over many layers.

The pants feature side cargo pockets, full side zips and an internal belt system.

MSRP: $599 Jacket, $549 Pant

Scent-Lok Alpha Tech

If you've spent countless hours looking for the most versatile hunting system out there, well, the search is over according to the fine folks at Scent-Lok.

The company has created the Alpha Tech jacket and pant and it will be ready and in full swing for the 2013 hunting season. A two-part pocket system raises the bar for outwear clothing.

The inner kangaroo pocket offers plenty of room and comfort to keep hands warm, while the top zippered pocket offers perfect space for calls, wind checkers or cell phones. The large panel chest pocket and inner security pocket are also perfect for keeping gear close. Also, non-slip textured shoulders and elbows will keep packs and slings from slipping from where they are meant to be. This suit features Scent-Lok's Carbon Alloy technology for total odor adsorbtion.

Button Buck

Need a last-minute gift idea for the young hunters in your life? Now they have an outdoor brand, appropriately named Button Buck, that is designed just for them.

If you have a 12-year-old or younger, you'll want to check out the Classic new T-Shirts for kids. These sporty shirts are sure to become an instant favorite. Made in the USA, each shirt is vintage-soft and fashionably cut, and also features a screenprinted interior tag to prevent itch. Shirts come in six different sizes from 2T-12.

MSRP: $19.99

Muck Woody Sport Cool

The Original Muck Boot Company is taking a stand against sweaty feet with its new Cool Series Collection with XpressCool Technology.

It will be incorporated into the Woody Sport Cool boot that will be available in the spring of 2013. The boot is an all-terrain hunting boot that provides support, comfort and protection, whether you're in the woods, in a swampy area or having to trek through a stream or wet grass.

Mossy Oak Camouflage provides full concealment. Available up to size 15 for men and size 13 for women.

MSRP: $154.95

Timber Hawk Rut Buster

When you're going after the trophy of your choice, you need to make sure you have a pack on your back that can carry all of your essentials. For that, count on the new Rut Buster from Timber Hawk.

With 1,700 cubic inches of storage, you can rest assured that there is plenty of room for everything. The main compartment features a divider sleeve to install the included hydration reservoir.

You will also have two other compartments for storage — the first for smaller items such as your knife, calls and flashlight, and the other that has several mesh pockets so you can arrange it as you prefer. Available in Realtree AP.

Cabela's Diamantina Jacket

Whether you're hunting on a cool fall day, shooting arrows in the backyard, going to your son's football game or even walking the dog, the Diamantina Merino Wool Jacket from Cabela's is just what you need to take the chill away.

With wool from Merino sheep, you know you'll be getting some of the finest, softest wool available. And the tightly packed wool fibers can hold up to 30 percent of their weight in moisture without feeling damp. The jacket features a zippered front, two zippered pockets, one zippered chest pocket and shock-corded waist. Available in Cabela's Outfitter Camo.

MSRP: $199.99
