Alfred A. Fusco III, Quebec

Not many whitetail hunters can claim that the first buck they ever bagged was in velvet. But Alfred A. Fusco III of Middletown, New York, is an exception. While hunting with his father on Quebec's Anticosti Island on Sept. 2, 1993, Alfred dropped this beautiful 8-pointer on the run at 150 yards. It took just one round from the 14-year-old hunter's .280 Rem. to send the deer sprawling into a blowdown. The rack's outside spread is 18 inches, and the animal weighed approximately 150 pounds.
